Se trataba de un ferrocarril que transitaba por el monte, a 630 metros de desnivel; pues este tipo de sistemas de transporte son siempre construidos en lugares abiertos y llanos. Era de poco esperar que se construyera una caja ferroviaria en un bosque de Ponga.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El ferrocarril se utilizaba para recoger madera de roble y haya, procedente del bosque de la <em>Llambria<\/em>. El trayecto comenzaba en la estaci\u00f3n de <em>Sella\u00f1u<\/em> y sub\u00eda seis kil\u00f3metros hasta el <em>Coll\u00e1u de Semeld\u00f3n<\/em> sin maquinaria, mulas y caballos tiraban de \u00e9l hasta arriba.
