Este artilugio llamado <strong><em>carda<\/em><\/strong> se utilizaba antiguamente para \u00abescardar\u00bb (cardar) lana en algunas zonas ganaderas de Asturias. \u00c9ste concretamente fue encontrado en una vieja cuadra de San Pedro de Amb\u00e1s (Villaviciosa). Est\u00e1 deteriorado por el paso de los a\u00f1os, pero restaur\u00e1ndolo se le puede dar uso.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Consta de una tabla de madera y, en el centro, varias p\u00faas de hierro grandes y afiladas muy juntas, formando un c\u00edrculo. Antiguamente, para cardar, el primer paso despu\u00e9s de esquilar a las ovejas, era lavar bien la lana en el lavadero, para quitarle la suciedad y la grasa. Se dejaba secar al sol, bien tendida sobre unas cuerdas o en el suelo, encima de unas mantas.
