En el \u00e1rea recreativa de&nbsp;<em>Trambesag\u00fces<\/em>, en Santill\u00e1n, encontramos unas construcciones tradicionales: les&nbsp;<em>cuerries<\/em>. Una&nbsp;<em>cuerria&nbsp;<\/em>es un cercado de piedra de aproximadamente un metro de alto y medio metro de grosor. Las hay de varios tama\u00f1os, desde un metro de di\u00e1metro hasta los ocho metros aproximadamente. <em>Les<\/em>&nbsp;<em>cuerries<\/em>&nbsp;pueden ser de dos tipos: elevadas sobre el terreno o enterradas. De estas \u00faltimas no se conserva ninguna, ya que en la actualidad un agujero en el terreno de ese tama\u00f1o ser\u00eda peligroso en el \u00e1rea recreativa.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Les&nbsp;<em>cuerries<\/em>&nbsp;eran utilizadas para conservar las casta\u00f1as y mantenerlas protegidas de los animales. En oto\u00f1o, se recog\u00edan los&nbsp;<em>aricios<\/em>&nbsp;con las casta\u00f1as, y se dejaban en la <em>cuerria<\/em> donde se tapaban con helechos y&nbsp;<em>\u00e1rgumas.<\/em>&nbsp;El proceso evitaba que se estropearan y a su vez permit\u00eda que acabaran de madurar, facilitando el desprendimiento de la casta\u00f1a del&nbsp;<em>aricio<\/em>. Las casta\u00f1as aguantaban meses sin estropearse, hasta que en primavera se sacaban y se&nbsp;<em>esbillaban<\/em>. Despu\u00e9s se separaban: las buenas se pon\u00edan en la&nbsp;<em>cunia<\/em>&nbsp;(estructura de madera o de palos tejidos que se colocaba encima de la cocina de le\u00f1a y que serv\u00eda para secar las casta\u00f1as con el humo), y las de menor calidad se utilizaban para cebar a los cerdos para el \u201cSan Mart\u00edn\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Santill\u00e1n ten\u00eda buenos casta\u00f1ares, por lo que se consum\u00eda mucha casta\u00f1a y dispon\u00eda de abundantes <em>cuerries<\/em>.
