El yugu sol\u00eda estar hecho de madera de roble, de nogal o de casta\u00f1o, porque eran las maderas m\u00e1s duraderas y resistentes, y estaban dise\u00f1ados para adaptarse a la forma de la cabeza de los animales. Adem\u00e1s, se colocaban unas almohadillas entre la cabeza el yugu que se llamaban <em>mull\u00edas<\/em>, asegurando que mayor comodidad durante el trabajo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hab\u00eda varios tipos de yugos, dependiendo de la labor que se fuera a realizar; por ejemplo, para el arado sol\u00edan ser m\u00e1s robustos y m\u00e1s cortos.
